  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 medium carrots, diced
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes (about 4 medium potatoes)
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté onions until translucent (about 5 minutes). Add carrots and celery; cook until softened.
  3. Stir in ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  4. Add garlic, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Meanwhile, boil peeled potatoes until fork-tender (15-20 minutes). Drain and mash with butter and cream until smooth; season with salt.
  6. In a baking dish, layer the turkey mixture first followed by a generous layer of mashed potatoes.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown on top.
