  • 1 medium onion, diced

  • 1 bell pepper (any color), diced
  • 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 15 oz can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the diced onion and bell pepper; sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
  2. Stir in the ground beef and cook until fully browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  3. Add the minced garlic, chili powder, and cumin; cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and add the drained beans. Stir well to combine.
