Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup whole milk (or almond milk)
  • ½ cup sliced almonds (toasted)
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen pitted cherries

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix melted butter with eggs and milk until combined.
  4. Gently fold wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Fold in sliced almonds and cherries.
  6. Spoon batter into greased or lined muffin tins, filling each about ¾ full.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool slightly before transferring to wire racks.
