  • 12 oz ziti pasta
  • 4 cups fresh spinach (or 1 cup frozen, thawed)
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Boil salted water in a large pot and cook ziti until al dente (8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Add fresh spinach and cook until wilted (about 3 minutes).
  4. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese with half of the mozzarella and parmesan along with Italian seasoning; mix until smooth.
  5. In a baking dish, layer marinara sauce at the bottom, then half of the ziti, half of the cheese mixture, and some sautéed spinach. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
