  • 1 cup pecans, chopped and toasted
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, melted butter, water, and eggs until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Let the cake cool slightly before poking holes all over the top with a wooden spoon handle.
  5. Drizzle sweetened condensed milk evenly over the warm cake to allow it to soak.
  6. For the praline sauce, combine brown sugar, butter, and heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat; stir until boiling and simmer for about 3-5 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in toasted pecans and vanilla extract; pour over the cake.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for at least two hours before serving.
