  • 34 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika (smoked if desired)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté chopped spinach until wilted (about 2-3 minutes). Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper; mix well.
  3. In a bowl, combine cooked shredded chicken with sautéed spinach and half of the shredded cheese.
  4. Unroll crescent dough on a greased baking sheet; seal perforations.
  5. Spoon the chicken mixture onto the center of each triangle. Fold the dough over to create pockets and pinch edges to seal.
  6. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
