  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk (or dairy-free alternative)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, mix flour and sugar; cut in cold butter until crumbly.
  2. Press the mixture into a greased rectangular baking dish to form the base.
  3. Bake the crust for 15 minutes until golden. Let cool slightly.
