- 2 large sweet onions, sliced
- 4 sturdy sandwich buns
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Place the flank steak in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Seal and marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Toss onion slices in olive oil and grill for about 8-10 minutes until charred.
- Remove the flank steak from marinade (discard marinade) and grill for 5-7 minutes on each side until medium-rare or desired doneness.
