- 3 lbs Russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup Gruyère cheese, shredded
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp butter (for greasing)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a large baking dish with butter.
- Thinly slice the potatoes (about 1/8 inch thick) using a mandoline or sharp knife.
- In a bowl, mix the cheddar, Gruyère, and Parmesan cheeses.
- Add minced garlic, salt, and pepper to the cheese mixture; combine well.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the baking dish and sprinkle half of the cheese mixture on top. Repeat with remaining potatoes and cheese.
- Pour heavy cream evenly over the layered ingredients.
- Cover with foil and bake for about 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
