This dish features perfectly seared salmon glazed in a sweet and spicy honey-sriracha sauce, served over fluffy rice and fresh, crunchy vegetables. Ideal for weeknight dinners or impressing guests, this bowl is not only visually stunning but also packed with flavor. Enjoy it warm as a meal or chilled as a refreshing salad.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup jasmine or brown rice
  • 1 cup fresh vegetables (cucumber, carrot, bell pepper, chopped)
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the salmon by whisking together honey, sriracha, and lime juice in a small bowl. Coat the fillets and let them sit for 15 minutes.
  2. Cook the rice according to package instructions.
  3. In a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat, sear the salmon skin-side down for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  4. While cooking the salmon, prepare bowls with cooked rice and add fresh vegetables on top.
  5. Once cooked, place the salmon on the vegetable-rice mixture, drizzle with remaining marinade, and sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions.
