  • 2 medium yellow onions, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the beef chuck roast and pat dry.
  2. In a large pot, heat oil over medium heat; sauté onions and garlic until translucent (about 5 minutes).
  3. Increase heat to medium-high; sear the beef on all sides until browned (approximately 4 minutes per side).
