  3. In another bowl, beat together pumpkin puree, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  5. If desired, fold in chocolate chips for added indulgence.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
