- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice (about 120ml)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar (150g), adjust to taste
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/4 cup water (60ml)
Instructions
- Rinse the cranberries under cold water and discard any soft or shriveled ones.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine cranberries, diced apples, grated ginger, sugar, orange juice, water, and the cinnamon stick. Stir gently.
- Bring to a gentle boil while stirring occasionally until cranberries pop and release their juices.
- Reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.
- Remove from heat, discard the cinnamon stick, and let cool at room temperature before transferring to an airtight container.
