  • 12 large pasta shells
  • 1 cup whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta shells in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the chopped spinach for about 3 minutes until wilted. Let cool slightly.
  3. In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, sautéed spinach, garlic powder, half of the mozzarella, and Italian seasoning until smooth.
  4. Carefully stuff each pasta shell with the ricotta mixture.
  5. Spread half of the marinara sauce in a baking dish. Arrange the stuffed shells in a single layer on top, then cover with remaining sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden.
