  5. Gently fold in half of the sliced pears.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and arrange remaining pear slices on top. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes in the pan before transferring to a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
