  • 1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (Italian-style)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 medium onion, minced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté onion and garlic until softened (about 5 minutes).
  3. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, sautéed onion and garlic, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh basil, eggs, and Italian seasoning. Mix gently until just combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to the greased loaf pan and shape it evenly.
  5. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
